About & privacy

Honest by design

UZPDF is a privacy-first PDF toolkit. It exists to do a small set of jobs well, without asking for your trust on faith — the way it's built makes the privacy promise real.

01

How it works

When you open a tool and add a file, your browser reads that file into memory on your own device. Libraries like pdf-lib and pdf.js then do the work locally — merging, splitting, rotating or converting — and hand you the result as a download. No part of the file is ever sent over the network.

02

What we collect

We don't collect, store, or transmit your documents. There are no accounts, so there's no profile tied to you. We keep a simple count of how many operations have been run — never the files themselves or their contents.

03

Honest limits

Because processing is local, very large files are bound by your device's memory. We rebuild the PDF structure without aggressively re-compressing images, so the output stays faithful to the original. We'd rather under-promise than mislead you.

04

How it's built

UZPDF is a static site built with Next.js, so it works the same on every device. The tools use open, well-tested libraries for PDF work and the browser's built-in Canvas to render pages into images.
